Privacy Policy for Timegrapher

Timegrapher ("the app") is designed to work entirely on your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.

There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. The app makes no network connections of its own. Everything you enter or measure stays on your iPhone.

Microphone

Timegrapher uses the microphone to listen to a mechanical watch and analyze the sound of its ticking in real time. The audio is processed live on your device and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted. Nothing from the microphone leaves your iPhone, and no audio is retained after a measurement ends.

Photos and Camera

If you choose to add a photo to a watch, the app accesses your camera or photo library only to obtain the image you select. That image is stored only on your device as part of the app's local data. Photos are never uploaded or shared by the app.

Information You Enter

Any details you add—including brand, model, reference number, serial number, year, notes, and your saved measurements—are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). This information is not sent anywhere and is not accessible to the developer.

Purchases

Timegrapher offers an optional one-time in-app purchase ("Timegrapher Pro") that unlocks unlimited watches. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app does not receive, store, or process your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not employ any third-party SDKs, and does not follow you across other apps or websites.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored only on your device, you are always in control of it:

• Delete an individual watch or measurement from within the app at any time.
• Deleting the app from your iPhone permanently removes all of its data.

The developer holds no copy of your data and therefore cannot access, restore, or delete it on your behalf.

Children's Privacy

Timegrapher does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised effective date.
